 Whitefish Mountain Resort formerly Big Mountain
Conveniently located in the middle of nowhere, you won't find crowds or social pressures at Whitefish. Undiscovered by many, what you will find is 2000 vertical feet of fabulous bowl, trail and glade skiing where secret stashes of powder can be found days after the last snow fall.
The Whitefish Mountains Resort’s southern exposure means mild weather and longer days and it’s 7000 foot summit means even flatlanders can ski long distances without losing breath. The base area also offers scenic groomed Nordic trails. All this, together with panoramic views of Flathead Valley, Whitefish Lake and Glacier National Park make The Big Mountain a wonderful family ski resort.
The Whitefish Mountains Resort remains one of only a handful of ski resorts that can be reached by AMTRAK. The Empire Builder passenger train is an economical way to reach the mountains and it’s a fun and unique way to travel.
Our group will be accommodated by Montana’s finest world-class hotel, Grouse Mountain Lodge. The lodge offers indoor pool, sauna, outdoor hot tubs, on site restaurants and is a twenty minute shuttle ride from the mountain.
